Northern Trade Solutions expands into specialty glass manufacturing
Northern Territory-based multidisciplinary construction company Northern Trade Solutions is set to diversify its operations, launching a new division Northern Glass Solutions (NGS) dedicated to specialty glass manufacture. The $5.4 million project includes a $668,072 co-investment from the Northern Territory Government, aimed at bolstering advanced manufacturing capabilities in the region.
Boost for local manufacturing and industry capability
Northern Glass Solutions will focus on producing specialty glass products for the construction and building sectors, supporting local supply chains and reducing reliance on interstate and overseas imports. The new facility is expected to create skilled jobs in the NT, provide greater supply security for the region’s builders, and contribute to the Territory’s economic diversification strategy.
Government support under Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem Fund
The co-investment is provided through the Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem Fund, which aims to accelerate the growth of advanced manufacturing in the Northern Territory. The fund supports projects that drive innovation, create local jobs, and strengthen industry resilience.
