TagEnergy expands Australian footprint with ACE Power acquisition

Renewables developer and independent power producer (IPP) TagEnergy has announced the acquisition of Australian developer ACE Power, a move that adds 6GW of energy storage and renewables projects to its national portfolio. The integration of ACE Power’s assets will see TagEnergy’s Australian pipeline soar to over 10GW, further cementing its position as a major player in the country’s clean energy transition.

Major boost to project pipeline and workforce

The deal brings a 27-strong development team from ACE Power into TagEnergy, increasing the company’s Australian workforce to more than 60. This expanded team will drive the delivery of large-scale energy storage, solar, and wind projects, accelerating the rollout of renewables across key regions.

Driving Australia’s clean energy transition

With the acquisition, TagEnergy is positioned to play a leading role in supporting Australia’s shift to renewable energy and grid decarbonisation. The combined portfolio will enable the development of innovative projects that enhance energy security, support emissions reduction targets, and create local jobs.

A new force in Australian renewables

As the national focus on clean energy intensifies, TagEnergy’s enlarged pipeline and team signal a new era of growth and innovation in the sector. The company’s commitment to delivering large-scale renewables and storage projects underscores the critical role of private investment in Australia’s energy future.
