Race ahead of the crowd
According to Google Trends, there is a noticeable spike in searches for 4WD vehicles just before the summer months, with getting in early key to grabbing the best deals.
Build-it spoke to 4WD Suspension specialist from Fulcrum Suspensions, Bryce Bungay, who says off-road utes’ robust construction, high ground clearance, and superior traction make them perfect for driving through our nation’s sandy deserts, mud trails and rocky paths.
“It’s great to see how both Aussies and international visitors are embracing the adventure of exploring our vast and beautiful landscapes.”
“The increased interest, particularly in places like the Northern Territory and Western Australia, shows just how essential 4WDs are, rented or bought, for those wanting to truly experience the rugged and remote wonders of Australia.”
Bryce says regions such as the Northern Territory, Western Australia and Queensland typically see the strongest demand for 4WD vehicles around December, with those states geared up for great off-roading thanks to their diverse terrain and spectacular landscapes.
“These trends show that more and more people are realising the benefits of 4WD vehicles for exploring Australia’s diverse terrains,” he said.
“The uptick in 4WD searches and sales during the summer months indicates a growing appreciation for vehicles that can handle the country’s unique and often challenging landscapes. It’s exciting to see such enthusiasm for adventure off-roading.”
