In celebration of National Tradie Day, Krispy Kreme is treating the men and women on the tools to a smoko snack on them.

Next Friday, September 20, tradies can pop into their nearest Krispy Kreme store and score themselves one free original glazed doughnut.

There’s only one catch. In order to get your hands on these delicious doughnuts, you’ve got to prove your credentials by rocking your finest work fit straight from the job site – the dirtier, the better!

Apart from that, this tasty treat comes with no strings attached, making it the perfect sneaky snack before work or a well-deserved afternoon treat once the tools are down.

And if you really want to be a job site legend, workers can also get their hands on more original glazed doughnuts for $12 a dozen. Working out at just one dollar a pop, it might be the cheapest trick we’ve seen to get the boys to buy you a beer.

Antonio Rivera, head of retail for the beloved doughnut chain, said it was only their right stores to recognise “all the hard work trades people of Australia give to our communities right across the country”.

“At Krispy Kreme, we love sharing  joy and that’s why we’re so thrilled to be giving back this National Tradie Day,” he told Build-it.

“And what better way to do that than free OG doughnuts!”

So mark your calendars, tell your mates and set those alarms because this is one free feed you won’t want to miss.

For those of you who don’t have any high-vis handy to score yourself a doughnut, you’re in luck.

There is a ‘secret’ trick you can use to score a free Krispy Kreme any day of the week!
All you need to do is spot the ‘Hot Light’ at select stores from 5 to 8 pm, and you can snag yourself an original glazed doughnut fresh out of the oven that can be redeemed for free with any purchase.
